Hi, I’m Dr. Cammy!

I founded Bliss in Being after spending years helping thousands of individuals and couples break free from the grip of trauma, chronic stress, and the kind of relational pain that quietly dismantles a life. Today I offer a comprehensive suite of evidence-based healing approaches—from couples therapy and trauma treatment to innovative modalities for medically unexplained symptoms and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy.

But before I was a therapist, I was a client.

As a recovering perfectionist with a lifelong history of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, I spent years trying to outrun my own nervous system. I told myself that once I hit the next milestone—the degree, the career, the relationship—the anxiety would finally quiet down. It didn't. When I reached what I thought was my destination, my anxiety worsened, the rituals consumed more of my day, and I developed chronic lower stomach pain that doctors dismissed as "all in my head."

I tried everything: meditation, journaling, exercise, and therapy. Nothing gave me lasting relief. I began to wonder if something was fundamentally wrong with me—a question I now hear from nearly every client who walks through my door.

That's when I decided to become my own healer, combining my professional training with hard-won personal discoveries. Today I am living proof that recovery is possible. I wake up every morning clear-headed and genuinely excited to show up for my clients—not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone who has done the work and knows the way through.

My approach combines evidence-based treatments—EMDR, Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, DBT, and cognitive behavioral therapy—with between-session support and integrated mind-body healing. For couples navigating betrayal, high conflict, or the slow erosion of connection, I bring both clinical precision and deep personal understanding to the work. I also integrate alternative frameworks like human design and quantum consciousness for clients ready to explore identity, purpose, and belief systems at a deeper level beyond traditional behavioral interventions.

Whatever brought you here, you deserve to live a fulfilling, connected life. Let's make that happen together.

Beyond My Practice

I'm a Boston native who spent many years building my practice in San Francisco before recently relocating to New York. I married the yin to my yang, and I'm the proud mama to two little cats and a dog: Fenjoon (our Kinkalow-Munchkin), Duchess (our Scottish Straight Ear), and Marjorie (our Beagle). I love running (falling off-and-on that wagon quite often), and my music tastes are best described as: "Sad man with a guitar."

Published Works

As an author, I've written two books that extend my therapeutic approach beyond the office. My Amazon bestseller "Healing Trauma Together" provides couples with practical tools for building resilient, trauma-informed partnerships—actionable guidance for improving communication, fostering resilience, and creating safe, supportive relationships. My first book, "Meditations: A Guided Journal for Women," complements my holistic healing philosophy, which is deeply rooted in my personal experiences and professional practice of helping clients navigate their paths toward freedom and happiness.
